MORA Overseas Student Mobility

Definition:

The MORA Overseas Student Mobility Awards (MOSMA) program is one of the initiatives supporting the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. It involves a maximum one-semester academic program with a duration of up to 6 months at a foreign university, which can be converted into Credit Units (SKS - Satuan Kredit Semester) at the home university.

WHO IS THIS SCHOLARSHIP iNTENDED FOR?

This scholarship is intended for students of State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) with the aim of providing them an opportunity to study abroad. It is designed to enhance students' scholarly perspectives, foster open-mindedness, and facilitate adaptation to international academic and campus life cultures.

The benefits that MOSMA scholarship recipients will receive include general funding for:

Tuition fees
Transportation costs
Visa expenses
Insurance
Living allowance
Settlement allowance

* Fun Fact: In the year 2023, 124 students from State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) successfully passed the selection process and were gradually sent abroad. Among them, 67 students had the opportunity to study for one semester in the United States, 10 students in the United Kingdom, 18 students in Malaysia, while 29 students will pursue their studies in Tunisia and Morocco."

Application requirements

Indonesian citizens who live in Indonesia and do not have dual citizenship status.
Registered as an Active Student at Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral level at a Religious College under the guidance of the Ministry of Religion and a Non-PTK Student.
Undergraduate students in semester 4/6 (S1) must be a maximum of 23 years old or master students in semester 2 in July of the current program year.
Never take a semester off during your studies.
Never participated in physical international mobility or other credit replacement activities while studying.
Have a GPA of 3.5+ (out of 4.0), as proven by my latest academic transcript.
Has TOEFL ITP (500), IELTS (5.5) and TOAFL (550) certificates. For ASEAN Region Universities, TOEFL ITP (475) and IELTS (5.0). For Islamic Studies Campuses, you can use TOEFL 550
