What is TOPIK

The Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) is a test for non-native Korean speakers aimed at measuring their proficiency in the Korean language. In addition, TOPIK also aims to establish a learning path for Korean language learners and to promote the Korean language.​

  • Listening: 30 multiple choice questions with a value range of 0-100

  • Reading: 40 multiple choice questions with a value range of 0-100

TOPIK 2

  • Listening: 50 multiple choice questions with a value range of 0-100

  • Writing: 2 questions for completing sentences/answering written questions and 2 essay questions with a value range of 0-100

  • Reading: 50 multiple choice questions with a value range of 0-100

TOPIK 1

  • 0-79: unqualified

  • 80-139: level 1

  • 140-200: level 2

Exam Time:

  • TOPIK 1: 100 minutes

  • TOPIK 2: 180 minutes

TOPIK 2

  • 0-119: unqualified

  • 120-149: level 3

  • 150-189: level 4

  • 190-229: Level 5

  • 230-300: Level 6

Grading:

TOPIK Registration Requirements:

  • 3 passport photos 3x4

  • 1 copy of the identity card

  • The exam fee is Rp.200,000 for TOPIK 1 and Rp. 300,000 for TOPIK 2
